Stanley Uzochukwu (born July 30, 1984) is a Nigerian entrepreneur who founded Stanel Oil in 2012, which later became Stanel Group in 2017, with its headquarters located in Jos, Plateau State.[2][3][4][5]

Early life and education[edit]

Uzochukwu was born on July 30th, 1984, in Calabar, Cross River State,[6] and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Botany from the University of Jos, in Plateau State.[7] [8]

Business career[edit]

Uzochukwu began his business career in 2011 and founded Stanel Oil in 2012, which later grew into Stanel Group.[9][10][11]

Philanthropy[edit]

Uzochukwu does engage in philanthropic activities, including the empowerment of widows and orphans in Nigeria in August 2021[12] and his partnership with Access Bank Plc to organize the annual "Access More with Stanel" youth empowerment program.[13][14]

Awards and recognition[edit]

[15] Uzochukwu has received awards and recognition, including being named as the "Most Innovative CEO of the Year" at the African Achievers Awards in 2018.[16][17] In addition, Uzochukwu has been appointed to a few Governing Councils and Boards of Directors, such as the Igbinedion University Governing Council in June 2021 and the UNIZIK Business School Board of Directors in October 2021.
