Staysure is a British travel insurance broker, founded by Ryan Howsam in 2004. The company specialises in travel insurance for the over-50s' demographic, with pre-existing medical conditions.
Staysure trades in the UK on behalf of TICORP Limited, an independent insurance intermediary based in Gibraltar. Staysure's headquarters is based in Northampton, Northamptonshire, with offices also in Coventry[1], West Midlands, and is underwritten by Great Lakes Insurance SE.
In 2018, Staysure became the first-ever title sponsor of the Staysure Tour, formerly known as PGA’s European Senior Tour.[2]

The company was founded in 2004, by business owner Ryan Howsam, who sought a new travel insurance business that focused on the over-50s market.[3] Howsam moved to Spain and set up Staysure with home-based sales agents. By 2007, the company expanded to a new call centre in Spain. Howsam decided to court investors into the business in 2009 after financial success, but struggled to find buyers that were interested in a British insurance company based abroad.[4]
In 2010, Staysure moved to Britain and established its headquarters in Northampton.[5] In 2013, the company was praised in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100, which measures the UK’s fastest growing private businesses.[6]
Advertising[edit]
In May 2018, Staysure launched an advertising campaign. The TV advert was filmed in Rome, showing real-life Italian tailor Armando Rubino and his assistants making a suit for actor Robert Cavanah[7], playing a fictional character.
