Steve Bennett (born August 24, 1960) is an American politician serving as a member of the California State Assembly. He is a Democrat representing the 37th Assembly District, encompassing over half of Santa Barbara County, as well as a portion of Ventura County. Prior to being elected to the Assembly, he was a member of the Ventura County Board Of Supervisors who previously served a member of the Ventura City Council. He also worked as a teacher and assistant high school principal.
