Steve Lough
Steve Lough is a professional clown who is running for Congress in the United States.[1] Lough graduated from Dartmouth College in 1987 with a degree in anthropology and from Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Clown College. He worked as a professional clown for 31 years.[2] He was laid off in December 2017 from a job he had doing anti-bullying shows at elementary schools through the McDonalds Corporation.[2] He is running for a Democratic nomination in South Carolina’s 5th Congressional District[3] and was motivated to run after the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary Schoolin Newton, Connecticut.[4] He volunteered on the 2008 and 2012 campaigns of former President Barack Obama and volunteered on the 2016 presidential campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders.[3]
