Sunbeam
Sunbeam (UK) are a British indie rock band from Whitby, North Yorkshire, formed in 2016. The group consists of James Organ-Simpson, Nicky Baxter, Sean Stuart, Alfie Green, and Sean Danby. Known for their melodic, guitar-driven sound and emotionally resonant lyrics, Sunbeam gained early recognition through BBC Introducing and have performed at festivals including the Isle of Wight Festival and Y Not Festival. Their 2024 single "Everytime You Call" reached number 2 on the UK iTunes Alternative Songs Chart.
History
Sunbeam was founded in 2016 as an acoustic cover duo, with James Organ-Simpson and Nicky Baxter performing in pubs across Whitby. After five years, they began to expand their lineup and musical scope. Sean Stuart joined on lead guitar in 2021, followed by bassist Alfie Green in 2022 and drummer Sean Danby in 2024, solidifying their current five-piece lineup.

In June 2024, The Scarborough News profiled Sunbeam ahead of their sold-out Whitby Pavilion show, writing: "We've dreamed of this night for years."[1]
