Suresh Chakravarthy (or Chakravarthi) also known as K.J Chakravarthy is an Indian director, screenwriter, television host and a restaurateur. He is well known for participating in the fourth season of the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil. Apart from his works he also runs a YouTube Channel named Chaks Kitchen.[1][2][3]

Personal Life

He lost his father when he was just 9 and his mother when he was 20.[citation needed] He did his schooling in St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Chennai and later pursued his higher studies in University of Madras.[citation needed] After his graduation he got a job in AVM studios as the Production Controller.[citation needed] He also served as a manager for the actress Amala Akkineni and the actor Karthik.[citation needed] Later, he became the Senior Manager Programming of Sun TV.[citation needed] Due to his busy schedules he couldn’t spend time with his family and his son was also diagnosed with cancer.[citation needed] So, he took a break from the industry and moved to Australia with his family. There he opened a restaurant named Madras Banyan Tree[4] in Melbourne, which also has 11 branches. After 17 years he again settled in Chennai with his wife.[citation needed]

Career

Suresh made his acting debut in the Telugu movie Prema in 1989. His Tamil debut was in Azhagan in 1991. Suresh wrote dialogues for various Telugu dubbed Tamil movies including Siva.[citation needed] In 1993, he began to direct shows for Sun TV, including Pepsi Ungal Choice.[citation needed] He was invited by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. Jayalalitha to her channel’s launch and she also asked him to do a show on her channel so, he played 6 characters in a serial.[citation needed] He also played a female role in the Pathi Sabapathy serial.[citation needed] After moving to Australia, he had been asked to set the shooting spot for the movie Nala Damayanthi by Kamal Hassan.[citation needed] In 2020, he participated in the fourth season of Tamil reality show Bigg Boss Tamil, where he was evicted on Day 35 from the house.[5][6][7]
