Svante Selin (born 2005) is a Swedish orienteer who competes in foot orienteering for FK Göingarna. He won the silver medal in the men’s middle distance at the 2026 FISU World University Championship Orienteering in Vila Real, Portugal.[1][2]
Selin is listed by the International Orienteering Federation as a Swedish athlete born in 2005. His IOF Eventor profile lists his club as FK Göingarna, and his World of O profile records his international results and rankings.[3][4]
Career
Selin began to establish himself at junior level in Sweden, winning the Swedish junior title in sprint in the H18 class in 2023 and the Swedish junior title in middle distance in 2024.[5] At the 2024 Junior World Orienteering Championships, he ran the last leg for Sweden’s silver medal-winning relay team in the Czech Republic.[6][7]
In his first senior season, Selin won the Swedish night championship title and made his World Cup debut in 2026, qualifying for the home World Cup round in Sweden via a strong sprint at the Swedish Championships.[8][9]
At the 2026 FISU World University Championship Orienteering, Selin won the silver medal in the men’s middle distance in 26:56, finishing behind France’s Antoine Becaert and ahead of France’s Romain Pichard.[10]

Selin’s IOF World Ranking profile lists him as an active Swedish athlete with world ranking positions in both overall and sprint disciplines.[11]
