Tacet Books
Tacet Books.[1] is a publishing house located in Brazil, founded in 2018, with headquarters in São Paulo.
The publisher focuses on publications in the format of Digital Books and Print on Demand, and is specialized in public domain works in the genres of Literary fiction, Comic books, Speculative Fiction, Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror.
Publishing philosophy[edit]
The concept of the publishing house is the creation of original and innovative content from the curatorship of works in the public domain in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The catalog is organized through collections and compilations, the three main collections are:
- 7 best short stories[2] (English), 7 melhores contos (Portuguese), 7 mejores cuentos (Spanish), is an original anthology with the seven best short stories of the author, selected by the literary critic August Nemo[3].
- Essential Novelists (English), Romancistas Essenciais (Portuguese), Novelistas Esenciales (Spanish), is an original selection of two novels by renowned writers, the works are selected by the literary critic August Nemo[3].
- 3 books to know, presents an original compilation of three works, either Fiction or Nonfiction, in order to present a specific theme. The works are selected by the literary critic August Nemo[3].
History[edit]
In 2018, Tacet Books is officially founded by August Nemo[3] in São Paulo, Brazil.
In 2019, Tacet Comics was created to publish comic books.
Publications[edit]
Tacet Books began its publications with the book series 7 Best Short Stories, the first work being 7 Best Short Stories by H. P. Lovecraft[4]
In 2019, through the Tacet Comics label, the first comic book, Lady Luck Omnibus[5], is published, a collection of Lady Luck's adventures, created by Will Eisner in the Golden Age of American comics.
