Natalia Margaret Haddock (born 6 November 1996), better known as Talia Mar, is an English YouTuber and musician. She gained popularity by posting both covers and original songs on her YouTube channel. She released her debut single, "Stolen" on 30 June 2016, followed by her debut extended play “Tough Decisions” released in 2017.

Early Life and education[edit]

Mar was born on 6 November 1996 in London, England. When she was 16, she attended the BRIT School to study music.[6]

YouTube and Music Career[edit]

Talia Mar created her YouTube channel “nataliahaddock” on 18 December 2010, but did not begin to upload videos until September 2016. Her content mostly relates to beauty, fashion and music. She also has a second channel where she posts gaming content. Her eponymous YouTube channel has nearly 900,000 subscribers and her channel Talia Mar GAMES has over 200,000 subscribers.[7][8]

Talia Mar released her first single “Stolen” on 30 June 2016, along with a music video released on 24 November 2016.[9] “In the Day”, Mar’s second single was released on 23 March 2017.[10] Mar then released her debut EP titled "Tough Decisions" on 30 June 2017, exactly one year after the release of her debut single.[11] On 14 March 2017, Mar released the single "The Voices Are Me" after she struggled to discuss her own battle with the taboo subject following her friend's suicide.[12]

On 21 November 2018, Mar was listed as a featured artist on “Get Back”, a single by Rio Young. On 10 December 2018, Mar announced across social media that she joined the panellists of the BBC One show All Together Now in the second series alongside Geri Halliwell.[13][14]

On 12 April 2019, Talia Mar was listed as a featured artist on “Real Name” a song by KSI and Randolph for their album New Age as well as starring in their music video for the song.[15][16] 2019 was also the year Talia would release many singles such as "Selfish", "Better" and "Diamonds". The success of these singles resulted in Talia being signed to Sarah Close's record label, "The Kodiak Club" in October, 2019.[17]

On 8 January 2021, Mar released the first single for her upcoming EP, "Jack", which peaked at number 9 on the iTunes charts and reached 100,000 streams on Spotify in under 24 hours, making it her most successful release to date. On 9 April 2021, Mar featured on the song "Good on You" by British DJ "Alex Hobson", making it her first time being on contemporary hit radio such as Capital and Kiss.[18][19]
