Talya Muchmore
Virgie Tovar is a feminist author[1], activist[2] and scholar[3] on size discrimination, diet culture and body image. She is the author of "You Have the Right To Remain Fat" a critique on diet culture and "The Self-Love Revolution: Radical Body Positivity for Girls of Color," a self-help book for teens. She is also the editor of "Hot & Heavy": an anthology of writers and thinkers promoting fat positivity. Virgie Tovar holds a Master of Arts in Gender & Sexuality Studies from San Francisco State University.
