Taptics is a web-based e-learning platform and mobile application launched in 2024. Founded in Copenhagen by Jeppe Skov Kristensen and Mark Schellhas, the software utilizes an interactive approach to tactical training. Its primary features are lessons, tests, forum-like messaging and a club knowledge-base.[1]
History and development
The concept for Taptics was inspired by the mechanics of chess puzzles.[1] It was originally conceptualized by Jeppe Skov Kristensen during his time working as a physiotherapist and coach at the Danish association football club Hellerup IK.[1] Kristensen subsequently partnered with software developer Mark Schellhas to build the digital platform.[1]
The software is used by several Scandinavian football clubs, including F.C. Copenhagen for its translation tools for integrating foreign players into the team's tactical system.[2]
