Tawhid Afridi (born January 3, 1997) is a Bangladeshi YouTuber[1] and actor. He started posting on YouTube in 2015 under the name TAWHID AFRIDI[1] and has subsequently become one of the most popular YouTubers[2] in Bangladesh.
Afridi started his YouTube channel in 2015 while he was still a student[3]. He posted his first video titled "BANGLADESHI SMART GUYS" in February 2012. The video went viral, and Afridi[4] gained a lot of attention for his comedic talent. He continued to create funny videos, skits, and vlogs on his channel, and by 2015, he had become one of the most popular YouTubers[5] in Bangladesh.
Early life[edit]
Afridi [6]was born on January 3, 1997, in Barishal, Bangladesh, to Bangladeshi parents who moved back to Dhaka, Bangladesh, while Afridi was still young.[7] His father is a retired Businessman.
YouTube career[edit]
Afridi began posting videos on Facebook before he moved onto YouTube in 2015,[1] creating his channel "TAWHID AFRIDI ", where his comedy sketches became popular. He described his YouTube journey in an interview, stating:
"I did not want to waste my time like others. So I searched YouTube to find some Youtuber in Bangladesh but couldn’t find anyone. That’s when I got the idea that I can be a Youtuber and become the first Bangladeshi content creator".[4]
He received the Silver Creator Award by hitting 100k subscribers[8] in 2016 and the Gold Creator Award by hitting 1 million subscribers in 2018[1]
