Tea Hong (Chinese: 茶香行) is a specialist tea trader[2] based in Hong Kong. It was founded by veteran fine tea advocate Leo Kwan[3][4][5] in 2012 as a continuation of his former tea company, Lee Kwan Tea Trade Limited where he developed the original premium tea brand MingCha®.[6][7]

History[edit]

Leo Kwan first founded Lee Kwan Tea Trade Limited (Chinese: 利群茶行有限公司) in 1998[8][9] to make premium tea accessible[10] for both the international and domestic market.[11] In 2006 he left his own company, later to develop the fine tea commentary and reference guide Tea Guardian.[12] It was launched in November 2010. Tea Hong was founded in 2012 to satisfy export demands from old clients. The internet shop TeaHong.com was subsequently launched in 2014.
