Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy

Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy is an American author, motivational speaker, life coach, yoga teacher, and founder of New York-based Power Living Enterprises, Inc.[1][2][3] She is known for her multidisciplinary approach to success and performance coaching, and trains executives and others in mindfulness, stress management, leadership, integrative health, yoga, and personal development.[4][5] She has an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a former executive at MTV Networks.[1]

In 2002, she founded the Ta Yoga House, the first yoga studio in Harlem.[2] She is a student of Tao Porchon-Lynch [6] and co-wrote her autobiography, Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master, which won five book awards.[7][8][9][10] Dr. Deepak Chopra wrote the front cover endorsement for the book. In June 2016, she moderated a discussion with Porchon-Lynch at the United Nations on "Yoga for the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals." [11]

In 2009, Kennedy was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum recognizing her professional accomplishments, commitment to society and potential for shaping the future of the world. She has participated in Forums events in Brazil, China, India, Jordan, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, South Africa, Switzerland and Tanzania. In 2010, she was a discussion leader for "The Economics of Happiness" for the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.[12] In June 2016, she moderated a discussion with Porchon-Lynch at the United Nations on "Yoga for the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals." [13] In November 2016, Kennedy moderated a panel at the United Nations on "Social Entrepreneurship" for[14] Women's Entrepreneurship Day. In 2016, she created [15] Elder Dignity to promote elder justice, particularly as it relates to guardianship abuse.
