The Headgum Podcast is a comedy podcast hosted by American actor, writer, and HeadGum employee Geoffrey James. He is joined every episode by his boss Amir Blumenfeld, though Amir denies being the show's co-host.[1] First released on May 13, 2020, new episodes are posted every Friday, featuring a rotating cast of Geoff and Amir's coworkers.

Content[edit]

Each episode of The Headgum Podcast begins, ends, and transitions between segments with variations of a theme played on the saxophone by Marika Brownlee.[2] The format of the show consists of host Geoffrey James using what he calls "conversation enders", strange non-sequiturs that take the form of questions, rhymes, stories, or hypothetical scenarios, in order to make his guests uncomfortable and confused. Episodes usually devolve into the guests criticizing Geoff for the way he runs the show, and leaving partway through the episode.
