The Kingsdown Redemption is a 2018 British drama film directed by Cosmo Millan and produced by Jesse Ridgway. The film stars Cosmo Millan, Lynda Fisher, Chubby. Filming took place on October 12, 2017 and ended on June 18, 2018. The film is also the last feature film performance of actress Lynda Fisher who passed away on September 19, 2018. The film was shot in Bath, Somerset, Kingsdown School, England, UK.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
The film tells the story of a character named Cosmo who is struggling to get his life back together after the death of his idol George Kennedy and starts skipping classes and angering his key worker who has been trying to get Cosmo back on track since Year 9 when George passed away. As she tries in vain to get Cosmo back on track, Miss Fisher unintentionally hurts Cosmo's feelings causing him to flee Swindon and spend the entire week in Bath
Cosmo has been doing well and going to lessons (except for Math) with Miss Fisher soon learns about. She starts to chase Cosmo whenever he has Math and forces him to go, however she soon realizes that Cosmo is skipping the class as he doesn't understand it and takes it upon herself to ensure that Cosmo does pass. Eventually, Cosmo manages to understand and Cosmo sits his exams. Not long after the exam Cosmo starts throwing away his revision notes and other personal items believing that he failed, However Miss Fisher tells Cosmo that he passed and he celebrates.
A week after Cosmo passed the exams, he notices a shifty figure that he knows from Kingsdown (Edward), only to realize that he is going to burn the School down. The next day Cosmo tries to tell Miss Fisher. The fire burns in to the night and Cosmo is rescued at 7 PM after jumping out a science classroom window and the school explodes. Cosmo then has his epiphany while on his way back from the hospital and returns to Kingsdown School to reconcile with Miss Fisher and moves to the USA.

The Kingsdown Redemption was released in select theaters on December 10, 2018 in the U.S and Japan, The film grossed $31,000 on its opening weekend. The film will be released in the UK on February 6, 2019.

The Kingsdown Redemption received mixed reviews from critics with many praising its visual design and locations but criticizing the pacing, Logan Brown wrote "The Kingsdown Redemption has a good production design and makes use of its locations. However the film seems very rushed to get to the end where the school burns down".
