The Old Man and the Three is a weekly podcast hosted by 15-year NBA veteran and current Dallas Mavericks Guard JJ Redick and producer and writer Tommy Alter. Each podcast features exclusive conversations between Redick and Alter and the biggest names in the NBA as well as celebrities in film and television, leaders in business, and politicians. The parent production company, ThreeFourTwo Productions, “aims to give an inside look at the stories and personalities in the worlds of sports, business, politics, and entertainment” through their number of different podcasts.[1]
The podcast premiered August 5, 2020, inside the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida with Portland Trail Blazers Guard, Damian Lillard, as the first guest. It has appeared in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times and has been mentioned on ESPN, NBC Sports, Yahoo, The Late Late Show with James Corden.[2][3]

Founded in August 2020, ThreeFourTwo Productions launched their flagship show, The Old Man and the Three, inside the NBA Bubble during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The podcast is hosted by the company's founders, JJ Redick and Tommy Alter.
