Therapy Source is a nationwide therapy staffing company headquartered in Pennsylvania, United States. The company places in-person and online therapists such as Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Physical Therapists, Psychologists, and related services, in K-12 educational institutions. They are the leading provider of school-based special education services.[1] [2]

History[edit]

Federal Law requires that every school district have a child-focused committee to review and address concerns for students’ education.[3] With this idea in mind, Therapy Source was created in October 2001 by the husband-wife team of Joshua Cartagenova and Stacey Cartagenova. Joshua is the CEO, looking after operational management and strategic insight, while Stacey, as the President, overseas departments.[4]

In 2005, Therapy Source moved from the Cartagenova’s home into their first office, in King of Prussia, PA and also expanded the scope of their services beyond the state of PA. In 2008, they launched TheraWeb® (online counseling) for speech. They later added online therapy for occupational and physical therapy, behavioral health services and social work. In 2011, Therapy Source relocated their office to Plymouth Meeting, PA. By 2016, Therapy Source had been included on the Inc. Magazine Top 5000 list for 9 years in a row.[2]

As of 2018, the company is present in 40 states and wants to explore strategic acquisitions to grow business.[5]
