Tingo Foods, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tingo Group, is a food processing and production company operating in Lagos, Nigeria, and founded by Dozy Mmobuosi and with Neha Mehta as the CEO.[1][2]
History
The company was founded by Dozy Mmobuosi and is based in Lagos, Nigeria. The company focuses on leveraging its technology and data services to farmers by taking their produce and processing it into finished goods through an ultra-modern processing facility. Its proposed food processing factory is located in Delta State, Nigeria.[3][4]
In March 2023, Tingo Group entered an agreement with Evtec Energy to power the factory with a solar plant. In February 2023, Tingo Foods was acquired by MICT. Tingo Foods has partnered with Evtec Energy PLC to build a $150 million, 110 MW solar plant to achieve net-zero carbon emissions and reduced energy costs.[5]
