Tire Group International, LLC (TGI) is an American company specializing in the worldwide distribution,[1] design, marketing and sales of replacement commercial and passenger tires for two and four wheeled on-highway vehicles as well as specialty off-highway segments such as agricultural, farm and forestry, mining, industrial and ground support equipment (GSE). TGI ranked as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America four consecutive years in a row (2010-2013) as noted by INC. 5000 Rankings,[2][3] # 59 on Fortune's Top Inner City 100,[4] and #42 on Florida's Top 100 Privately-held Businesses in Florida - 2013[5] as well as 2013 Top 100 Hispanic Businesses in Florida.[6]

Company Information[edit]

Tire Group International was founded in 1992[7] by Antonio (Tony) Gonzalez.[8] In 2015, Tire Group International appointed its chief operating officer, Joaquin Gonzalez Jr., president. Its 200,000 sq. ft. distribution facility is headquartered in Miami, Florida with offices in Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil,[9] Dominican Republic, Mexico and China [10] and additional satellite warehouse locations in Texas, Germany and China.  In 2013, Tire Group International was granted Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) 281-4 status[11] TGI carries over 40 brands of tires, one of only three other such companies in the U.S.A.[12] "Miami's Tire Group International on a Roll Globally". Investment Partnerships[edit]

Tire Group International has strategic partnerships with Transportation Resources Partners (TRP), a middle market investment firm in the transportation sector, Penske Corporation[17] and McLarty Associates.[18]

Manufacturing Partnerships[edit]

  • In 2014, Tire Group International and Pro Comp entered into a distribution agreement allowing Tire Group International exclusive distribution of Pro Comp branded tires and wheels throughout Colombia.[19]
  • In 2014, Tire Group International signed a supply agreement with Wabash National Corporation.[20]
  • In 2012, American Cooper Tire & Rubber Company (NYSE:CTB) announced an agreement with Tire Group International to distribute Mastercraft brand tires throughout Central America and the Caribbean.[21][22]
  • In 2012 Tire Group International and Alliance Tire Group Company announced a distribution agreement that will allow TGI to exclusively distribute Galaxy branded tires in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the exception of Colombia and Ecuador. 
  • In 2010 Atturo Tire Corp named Tire Group International the exclusive distributor for Atturo High Performance Tires covering the territory of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.[23]

Tire Group International has multiple specialized market segments including industrial applications such as Skid-steer loader, backhoe loader, forestry mulcher, Forklift, Grader, front loader, Reach stacker, Telescopic handler, Tractor, agricultural and forestry, Feller buncher, harvester, Skidder and Forwarder as well as mining applications such as Articulated hauler and cherry pickers.[citation needed]
