Background[edit]

Tom Signorello is an American businessman, entrepreneur, investor, speaker, board member, and Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Arcserve.[1][2][3], a multi-national data protection organization. Signorello graduated Magna cum Laude from Suffolk University in Boston, MA with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1992. In 1994, Signorello graduated from Suffolk University in Boston, MA with a Master of Business Administration.

Career[edit]

Signorello’s 23-year executive career started with his rise to Vice President and General Manager for Computer Sciences Corporation’s Global Outsourcing Group, a position he held from 2005-2008 after joining the company in 1994. CSC, a global information technology and professional services corporation, merged[4] with the Enterprise Service segment of Hewlett Packard Enterprise to form DXC Technology.

After leaving CSC, Signorello joined global security-centric information technology firm Unisys[5], where he served as Vice President and General Manager until 2010 when he left to lead global government managed services at Xerox[6][7]. He was then recruited back to Unisys in the capacity of Global Vice President where he was appointed by the Board of Directors to run its Application Services organization.

In 2014, Signorello joined Diebold Nixdorf[8], a multinational financial and retail technology company where he served on the Executive Leadership Team. In this capacity, Signorello led the company’s North America sales operations and go-to-market strategies for its financial self-service business, overseeing 50% of its total annual revenue and successfully turning around a multi-year decline.

In 2016, Signorello realized the full potential of empowering businesses to optimally consume cloud-tailored technology for greater growth and joined OnX Enterprise Solutions as CEO[9][10][11]. During his tenure, Signorello transitioned the legacy VAR (Value-added resellers) business to a dynamic IT services and solutions-led organization, leading the sales process[12] to strategic buyer, Cincinnati Bell, and doubling its final valuation to $201 million in 18 months.

Following the successful sale of OnX Enterprise Solutions in October 2017, Arcserve named Signorello as its CEO[13] to integrate technologies from acquired cloud-native[14][15][16][17] and archiving businesses[18] into the company’s channel partner offerings[19] and strategically rationalize the company’s solutions portfolio. In doing so, the company created the market’s first direct-to-cloud disaster recovery offering[20][21] with technologies that put near-zero data loss and downtime[22][23][24] within reach for organizations of all sizes. Shortly thereafter, the company introduced its breakthrough Business Continuity Cloud[25][26], a fully integrated solution that combines what had been divergent backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and email archiving products suitable for on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.

For over 35 years[27], Arcserve has delivered backup, recovery, and replication solutions delivered through a flexible set of modalities including software, hardware[28], and cloud[29]. Most recently, the company announced a global technology alliance[30][31] with cybersecurity leader Sophos. Signorello’s vision to eliminate cyber threats fueled the development of the only means to neutralize ransomware through combined threat prevention and protection technologies[32][33][34]
