Transformers Prime: Galvatron's Revenge (sometimes known as Transformers Prime: Revenge of Galvatron) is a 2016 movie based in the Transformers Prime universe. The plot is set five years after the Predacons Rising movie in which the Decepticons have disbanded and the Autobots are living peacefully on their homeworld of Cybertron. The movie states that there are other Autobots stationed on Earth, presumably Ratchet among them. Ultra Magnus has assumed Leadership over the Autobots following Optimus Prime's sacrifice to return the AllSpark to the Well to enable Cybertron to grant life to new generations. The Autobots are soon pushed back into action when the titular antagonist, Galvatron, invades Cybertron on a mission to liberate his Master, Unicron, so that they may complete their long-awaited mission: the destruction of Primus.
Premise[edit]
It has been five years since the Autobots defeated Unicron and rebuilt Cybertron. Now hundreds of Transformers have returned to their homeplanet to begin anew, while the threat of the Decepticons has faded into the past. Just as things are looking up, the Autobots are faced by a new enemy: the mighty Galvatron, who seeks to free the Chaos Bringer from his imprisonment so that he may finally destroy Primus once and for all.
Synopsis[edit]
Five years after the defeat of Unicron, Cybertron has been restored and many Transformers—both old and new—now inhabit their homeworld. Ratchet has since returned to Earth and is in company with Autobot soldiers Springer and Rodimus, while the rest of Team Prime now station themselves on Cybertron to maintain peace. With Starscream and Shockwave presumably still on the loose, Ultra Magnus, who has assumed Leadership over the Autobots, regularly sends out patrols to track them down. Knock Out, a former Decepticon who defected to the Autobots at the end of the Great War, is now a full-time member of the Autobot Cause and is charged with medical and repair jobs, Bulkhead is seen spending his time helping out with repairs across the planet while Wheeljack teaches a new team of Wreckers to protect their homeworld from threats like the Decepticons. After returning from a routine operation, Bumblebee returns to the Decagon to report his status to Ultra Magnus and the High Council. Bumblebee reports that his team searched some of the Decepticons' more crucial bases, but there is no sign of the two fugitives anywhere. Ultra Magnus notes to the High Council that they'll just have to keep searching.

- Throughout the Transformers Prime series, Primus was mentioned several times in all three seasons. He makes his first physical appearance in Galvatron's Revenge where he does battle against Unicron one last time.
- Optimus Prime, Megatron, Shockwave, and Starscream are mentioned during Galavtron's Revenge.
- For some reason, the Predacons are completely absent from the events of the novel. Perhaps the author felt that the Predacons would be a little overpowered if they were to take part in the action.
- Knock Out is now a full-pledged member of Team Prime.
- Many of the remaining Vehicons are officially members of the Autobots now.
- Sierra and General Bryce, who were minor characters in Transformers Prime, make another appearance.

- This is the first time in the Transformers Prime Universe that a Combiner makes an appearance.
- While the Decepticons are stated to no longer be a threat, Ultra Magnus still has patrols out searching for Starscream and Shockwave, the last two remaining Decepticons still on Cybertron.
