Trendspotters.tv is an Indian lifestyle website that focuses on trends in fields such as fashion, entertainment, mobile technology, and automotives.[1] These trends are published on the website in the form of shared YouTube videos and brief descriptions, and mainly focus on India-related topics such as Indian fashion, Bollywood movies, and events in major Indian cities such as Mumbai, Chennai and New Delhi. Trendspotters.tv has promoted itself as the "first online digital channel that will spot trends across different genres like fashion and technology".[2]

History[edit]

Trendspotters.tv was launched in August 2013 by Kunal Kishore Sinha, a media industry entrepreneur based in New Delhi. It was initially started as a web channel that focused on covering ongoing trends in the lifestyle segment, but grew to encompass coverage of Bollywood movie promotions, India Fashion Week, and popular Indian events. In December 2013, Trendspotters.tv launched a mobile app for iOS that would enable users to share news and trends on various social networking sites.[3] In March 2014, they formed an alliance with Mukta Arts to help promote Subhash Ghai's Kaanchi: The Unbreakable on social media and the web.[4][5]
