Trisha Mae Genesis (born March 20, 2000) is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Adamson University Women's Volleyball team.[1]
Career
Having powerful skills, Genesis played for Holy Rosary College in 2012. The open spiker, however, has been invited by the region to suit up for Calabarzon in the past couple of years but chose to stay with her team in hope to bring her school back to the top.
In 2016, Genesis made it to the Philippine women's junior team roster, having joined veteran players like Kath Arado, Jasmine Nabor and Mary Ann Mendrez. The team was sent to represent the Philippines in the 2016 Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship where they finished 10th out of 15 countries.
Collegiate
Genesis was recruited by almost all UAAP schools and eventually chose Adamson University. She started playing for Adamson in the 2018 PVL Collegiate Conference and Open Conference and continued her path in the UAAP Season 81 indoor volleyball. She immediately gained exposure in her rookie year.
2018-2019
Genesis debuted for the Adamson University Lady Falcons in the 2018 PVL Collegiate Conference. She was part of the Lady Falcons team who finished in 3rd place and winning bronze during the conference.
In the Open Conference of the same year, Adamson University once again joined the league through the sponsorship of Akari, the team participated under the name Adamson-Akari Lady Falcons. The Lady Falcons, along with Genesis, finished in 8th place.
In her rookie year for the UAAP Season 81 women's volleyball, she started getting tested on how she can contribute to the team's offense and defense. Genesis and teammates tried their best to lift up the team and advance to the next round but eventually failed.
In her return for the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference, she received her second PVL medal and first PVL gold medal alongside with the Lady Falcons after defeating the UST Tigresses in the finals. She was named the Conference MVP and 1st Best Open Spiker.
