Tschess (stylized tschess) is a mobile video game[1] developed by Bahlsenwitz LLC.[2] It was released on March 23, 2019 for Android,[3] with a version for iOS[4] released in September 2019.

The game is played on a chessboard by two people who maneuver sixteen pieces each according to rules governing movement of the pieces (the six pieces of standard chess in addition to a suite of fairy pieces), the object being to bring the opponent's king into checkmate.

In contrast to standard chess, the disposition of their pieces are configured by the player prior to the beginning of the game. The relative strength of the disposition being thresholded by the maximum value of a standard chess board, 39 by applying the heuristic assigning 1 point to pawns, 3 points to bishops/knights, 5 points to rooks, 8 points to the queen, and 0 points to the king.[5]

As opposed to Fischer random chess the players in tschess deliberately determine the disposition of pieces prior to the start of the game._Articles-6|[6]
