Apple technology and Canadian Music Week rock Toronto 1994-2000.

Twiggy, located in the heart of the entertainment district of Toronto Canada opened in July 1994 at 232 Queen Street West. The restobar music venue named after the 1960's British modelling sensation Twiggy, featured a mod interior with a colorful bar and stage.

The venue was built by local musician Chris Steffler of Sony Music's Platinum Blonde and his long-time friend Joe Schiavone a franchise owner of the El Panzerotti Pizza chain in 1994. At that time the Schiavone's held the lease at this address as it was one of their 36 franchise locations in the Greater Toronto Area.

Steffler approaches and signs a deal with the British fashion personality Twiggy (Leslie Lawson). She and her business manager sent art, photo images and well wishes from London UK. The cost of the endorsement arrangement at that time was $5000 USD in 1994.

The venue embraced primarily original music artists and hosted events such as the North by Northeast international music festival, Canadian Music Week, Toronto Fashion Week, Toronto International Film Festival events, Canadian actors Genie Awards party, The National Ballet's Karen Kain fundraiser, Much Music Television, Platinum Blonde, Jeff Healey Band, Carole Pope, fashion shows, comedy and DJ vibe.

In the year 2000 a medical issue developed with Chris Steffler that contributed to the auditory affliction, tinnitus.

Twiggy's legal capacity of 158 featured a popular Italian / Californian menu and prime location that went on for a colorful run from 1994 - 2000 at Toronto's Queen & John Streets.

As of 2022 the address at 232 Queen Street West features Warehouse Premium Dive Bar.
