Tyler attended St. Francis De Sales High School where he graduated with honors as the President of the class of 2000. While a student at St. Francis, Tyler was a scholar, athlete, and theatre performer. As an athlete, he was the equipment manager for the Knight's basketball team where he would earn an honorary Varsity Letter. He starred in A West Side Story along with Footloose as the main character during his Junior and Senior year. Tyler was also the St. Francis Prom King in 2000. Tyler graduated with a 4.2 GPA and scored a 33 on his ACT which opened up options for college.

College[edit]

Tyler attended The University of Michigan where he majored in Marketing with a minor in Marine Biology. Tyler would go on to try out for the Curling team where he was accepted as a walk-on. Tyler found immediate success as a Wolverine curler. He was offered scholarship status after only 3 matches. By the end of his freshman year, he was recognized as one of the best Deliverers the Wolverines have seen in program history. Tyler thrived on the ice due to his ability to execute Takeouts. Tyler made his success apparent as his signature move was known as "Kicking Rocks". In the 2002 National Championship, Tyler took out 3 stones that sat in the blue circle which belonged to Boston College. The Wolverines would go on to win their 7th title in program history. This was the last title the program has seen since. In the summer of 2002, Tyler made a decision that would shock the curling nation and transfer to Bowling Green State University located just 20 miles south of his childhood home. The reasoning for this transfer still is a mystery today. As a Falcon, Tyler had continued success where he would win back to back national titles. He also was the famous Freddy The Falcon. The first and only two in program history. In 2004, Tyler was awarded the Ann Brown Sportsmanship Award after finishing in 4th in 2003. Tyler would graduate in 2004 as one of the most decorated college curlers of all time as he would be the only curler to win 3 national titles. Tyler would be invited to join Team USA for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. However, tragedy would strike as Tyler suffered a Turf Toe injury in November, 2005 while walking in downtown Toledo after attending a local minor league hockey game. The injury would force him to withdraw from Team USA.

2006-2008[edit]

In the spring of 2006, Tyler would attend his future brother-in-law's bachelor party in Thailand where a range of events occurred. These events would become legend and lead to the production of The Hangover Part II. Decorated actor Zach Galifianakis would go on to portray Tyler as "Allen". Tyler would go on to live the following two years in the mountains of Pattaya City where he would find his purpose again. The motivation and reasoning behind the two year hiatus in Thailand still remains a mystery. Some speculate trauma from the events that occurred in Bangkok. Other speculation is based on the emotional damage from the Turf Toe injury. Others speculate involvement with a Buddhist Monk crime ring.

Professional Career[edit]

In the winter of 2012, Tyler returned to the region to attend a Phi Psy reunion where he would find his theatre roots and perform as the community showcase at a Toledo Walleye game. The reaction from fans and staff would catch the eye of company executives. This lead to an internship with the Toledo Walleye and Mud Hens. In 2015, Tyler would be hired on in the front office specializing in game entertainment and promotions. He is still with the organization today as the Manager of Promotions & Game Presentation. Tyler is known as the life of the organization. Tyler oversaw the execution of Winterfest in the winter of 2021 along with every playoff run since he was hired. Tyler always has stepped up to do whatever is necessary to bring success to the organization. His hard dedication has given him a purpose and a place to settle down and live a normal life after living the life of a curling superstar and the rock bottom he hit thereafter. Tyler went from one of the best curlers in the nation to one of the best game presentation professionals in the industry.

Personal Life[edit]

Tyler lives in Toledo currently where he is the father of the elite Club Commodore. He is also the longest tenured Fricker's customer at the downtown location. He lives with his girlfriend, Zowe Haminzdawh and their dog Oakley. In the spring of 2022, Oakley attempted to jump off the roof of a parking garage. This trauma led Tyler down a dark path of Keno gambling. He has been clean of Keno since July, 2022. His friends and family stand close in his fight against Keno. Experts speculate why he is not married due to now being 40 years old. Some suspicion is Thailand based. Some believe that he is still married to a Monks wife and cannot exit the marriage without a sacrifice. It could also be for tax purposes. When asked by media member Jordan Strack, Tyler chose not to comment. Tyler is the youngest of three children and he is soon to be the only one not married. As he was once known for "Kicking Rocks", Tyler is now known for his catchphrase "Sounds like my Prom night". This phrase gave birth to a segment of the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
