Uday Bhanu Chib is an Indian politician who is the current president of the Indian Youth Congress, the youth wing of the Indian National Congress.[1] He previously served as the general secretary of the Indian Youth Congress and was the former president of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress.[2]
Early life and education
Chib was born in Paloura, Jammu. He is the son of Hari Singh Chib, who serves as the vice president of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee.[3] He holds a degree in engineering from Pune University and an MBA from Arni University.[4]
Political career
Chib has been involved in student and youth politics for much of his career. He was associated with the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) and later served as the president of the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the NSUI.[5]
He later served as the president of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress and then as a national general secretary for the Indian Youth Congress. On 22 September 2024, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge appointed him as the new president of the Indian Youth Congress, replacing Srinivas B. V..[4][6]

Uday was born in the year of 1985 to Hari Singh Chib, a congress leader and Rajni Bala in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. He has done B.Tech and MBA. He is married and has 1 daughter and 1 son.[1]
