V/H/S/94

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

V/H/S/94 is an upcoming found footage anthology horror film co-produced by Bloody Disgusting and Cynepocalipse Productions in partnership with Studio71.[1] It is a reboot of the V/H/S series, which started in 2012 with the eponymous title and spawned two sequels, V/H/S/2 and V/H/S: Viral, as well as a spin-off title, Siren, and a Snapchat Snap Originals miniseries. The film takes place in the year 1994 and features segments written and directed by Jennifer Reeder, Chloe Okuno, Ryan Prows and franchise returnees Simon Barrett and Timo Tjahjanto.

The film was announced in June 2020 by The Hollywood Reporter, stating that franchise co-creators Brad Miska and Tom Owen would produce alongside writer-producer David Bruckner, who wrote and directed the "Amateur Night" segment from the original V/H/S, and the filmmaking collective Radio Silence, who also directed the "10/31/98" segment of the original film.[2] Producers Josh Goldbloom and Parinda Patel are also credited.

In June 2021 it was announced that horror streaming platform Shudder had acquired exclusive worldwide rights to V/H/S/94 as part of its "Shudder Original" line-up. In July, the film's directors, alongside producers Miska and Goldbloom, attended a San Diego Comic-Con@Home panel revealing details about each segment, an exclusive first look, and their experiences filming under COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.[3] The film is currently in post-production[4] and is slated to be released in North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand in the Fall of 2021.
