The creature has also been identified in Sri Lanka as well, twice during the year of the discovery (2016) and during the year 2020 amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The creature in Tamil is known as Raktha Adhika (ரக்த அதிக="high in blood"). It is said to be related to the Chupacabra and the Sigbin respectively. It is described as having a long tail up to three feet (36 inches) in length and it's body about one foot (12 inches). Speculations exist according to some people, the cryptid may be a fossa stricken with mange as is it described as kangaroo like and furless, but so far and up to date. No traces of mange were found.
