Varinder Kumar Sharma

Varinder Kumar Sharma is the first Punjabi person who has passed the Indian Civil Services examination 2009 in Punjabi medium. This is a prestigious exam conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India and candidates normally take it in English medium. He has cleared this exam in the first attempt and secured fourth position in the Vernacular, Punjabi Medium.[1]

Early life

Varinder Kumar Sharma was born in village Sohana Punjab India on 30 June 1973. His father's name is Jeet Ram and his mother's name is Smt. Ram Murti. His parents are teachers. Mr Sharma did his primary education from Government school Ghanaur, middle from Government school Kami Kalan and matric from government high school Lalru.
