Varun Sheth (born June 23, 1987) is an Indian businessman, and the founder and CEO of Ketto,[1][2] a crowd-funding platform that helps campaigns and projects raise money through donations. After quitting his job as an interest rate swap trader, Varun started Ketto in 2012. Ketto has crowdfunded Rs 300 crores+ from a community of 2.5 million+ donors[3] from across 75+ countries.

Early life

Varun Sheth was born and brought up in Mumbai. He did his schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School and graduated from Narsee Monjee. With an acute interest in the financial sector, he went on to do financial programs including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Management (FRM). He worked as an interest rate swap trader before starting Ketto.

Ketto

Varun Sheth started the crowdfunding platform Ketto in 2012. Ketto has so far raised more than Rs 300 Cr from over 2.5 million donors.[4] The platform has been used for various purposes like children's successful BMTs, thousands of underprivileged children receiving education and mid-day meals, martyrs' families' futures being protected, effective disaster management being facilitated, wildlife being protected, and neglected sportsmen getting a chance to represent India.[5]
