Vernel is an international brand for fabric softener products. It is a subsidiary of German company Henkel AG.[1] It is also known as WC Frisch, Blue Star, Sonasol, Witte Reus, Soft Scrub, General and DAC in many countries.[2]
History
It was introduced as one of the first fabric conditioners. The product became a major competitor to the Downy (Lenor) brand of Procter & Gamble in Europe and the world. In 1970, innovations such as drying cloths, concentrates, refill packs and new fragrance models came to the market. In 1980, it further enriched its product range with fragrance variants such as "Kiwi Fresh", "Almond & Honey" and Vernel eco-packs. In 2007, it introduced Vernel Max and new products with the slogan "1=4". Also presented the “7 Days of Refreshment” series in 2012 and the “8 Weeks of Refreshment” series in 2014.
