Headquartered in Shanghai, VSPN (Versus Programming Network) is an esports total solutions provider in Asia. VSPN provides services in tournament operations, talent incubation and management, and commercialization.[1].

History[edit]

In June 2016, VSPN was founded by joint forces of several prominent esports production team[3]. Later that year, VSPN started hosting King Pro League and constructed the first esports center in Shanghai.[4]

In January 2017, VSPN closed Series A financing with investments from Focus Media, DMG Entertainment, Sequoia Capital China, and China Media Capital[5]. In July, VSPN finished the construction of Shanghai Center, which served as the main venue for KPL, PCPI and QQ Speed.

In March 2018, VSPN obtained the exclusive broadcast right for KPL and opened the Chengdu center[6]. In August, VSPN established its first global office in Seoul, Korea[7]. A year later, VSPN started hosting tournaments in Southeast Asia, Middle East, etc.[8]

In October 2020, VSPN secured $100M Series B funding round.[9]

In January 2020, VSPN completed the acquisition of Banana Gaming & Media, a Chinese esports production company, and raised $60M Series B+ funding round.[10]

In March 2021, VSPN completed the acquisition of Famulei, a Chinese livestream talent agency.[11]
