Nils Viktor Henriksson (born June 14, 1990) is a former Swedish professional basketball player, known for his contributions to pioneering the 3x3 basketball sport in Europe.
Professional career[edit]
Starting his senior basketball career for Swedish clubs Virtus Umeå and Borås Basket, Henriksson left for the United States in 2009 and played NAIA basketball for the Missouri Valley Vikings and NCAA basketball for the Minot State Beavers. Henriksson was trained by legendary Bob Knight and Dale Brown, before going touring with Meadowlark Lemon and his show ensemble Harlem Globetrotters All-stars.[1][2] After leaving the United States at age 24, Henriksson returned to his native Sweden and became one of the pioneers and early stars of the 3x3 basketball game, appearing on the FIBA Pro circuit between 2014-2019 and representing the Swedish national team in international competition.[3] Henriksson is Sweden's most merited 3x3 basketball player, as a 2x national champion, 1x runner-up, 1x 3rd place finisher and with over 500 official FIBA contests.[4]
