Vincent Otieno Owino is a Kenyan midfielder currently in the ranks of Kenyan Premier League side Nairobi City Stars.[1]

Early life and career[edit]

After his secondary education in Kanga High School, Owino joined Rongo Youth Club and then crossed over to Karatina Homeboyz from where he joined Kenyan second-tier side Fortune Sacco FC[2] in September 2019.

He switched to FC Talanta[3] in October 2021 before making a move to Nairobi City Stars in March 2023.[4]

He made his debut against Sofapaka FC in Ruaraka on 11 March 2023, and went on to score his maiden goal on 16 March 2023 against Wazito FC in Muhoroni.[5]. He featured in the last game against AFC Leopards that City Stars won 2-1 on Monday 29 May 2023 in Nyayo Stadium to preserve their premier league status.[6][7]

Nomination[edit]

At the end of the Kenyan second-tier league in the year 2021, Owino while at Fortune Sacco was nominated for the midfielder of the year award.[8][9]
