History
Vinchin is the first virtualization backup software vendor in China. The company was founded in January 2015. Vinchin has patent technologies used in developing VM backup products.[2]

In 2021, as a third-party data protection solutions provider for virtualization, Vinchin has now been officially certified by multiple upstream companies/open-source communities including VMware[10], Citrix Hypervisor/XenServer[7], XCP-ng[11], oVirt[12], Red Hat[13], Oracle[14], OpenStack[15], Sangfor and H3C.[2]
In January 2021, Stonefly Korea announced that the company has built an official partnership with Vinchin.[16]
