Wacker's Kaffee is a coffee brand, café chain, and traditional coffee roasting company in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Founded in 1914 as part of a delicatessen the company moved into a new residence in 1955, now referred to as their Stammhaus ('parent house'), owing to the destruction of the Altstadt during the Second World War.[1][non-primary source needed][2] It is one of two surviving traditional roasting companies in the city, the other being Kafferösterei Wissmüller.[3]
History[edit]
During April 1999 the family opened up their third coffee house near Uhrtürmchen, a protected monument, in Berger Straße, Bornheim. This was followed by another fifteen years later in 2014 at Grüneburgweg, Westend.[4][non-primary source needed], and then with the most recent opening of a branch during February 2019 in Schweizer Straße, Sachsenhausen.[5]
