Waveform: The MKBHD Podcast (also referred to as Waveform or WVFRM) is a podcast hosted by American youtuber Marques Brownlee with co-host Andrew Manganelli. The podcast focuses on Consumer electronics news and products along with discussions on videos with behind the scenes tips including some easter eggs within MKBHD videos.[2]
A number of episodes have involved interviews from youtube creators and other guests including Craig Federighi the senior vice president of Software Engineering at Apple Inc.
Background[edit]
Marques Brownlee the creator the technology focused MKBHD youtube channel with over 9 million subscribers at the time, started the podcast to share some "behind the scene tips" and "unfiltered takes".[3] Andrew Manganelli, is the co-host of the podcast and has been a producer for the MKBHD youtube channel since January 2017.[4] Waveform is produced in part by the influencer agency Studio71. [5] The first episode was aired on Apple podcasts and Spotify on July 31, 2019 and was a short 48 second announcement of the creation of the podcast. A week later the first full length episode aired on August 9, 2019 followed by an announcement on the MKBHD youtube channel on August 13, 2019.[6]
Guests[edit]
Technology Youtuber Quinn from SnazzyLabs was the first guest on the podcast, appearing as a guest on the October 4th, 2019 episode. He was followed in the next episode with guest appearances of iJustine and her sister Jenna Ezarik. The final guest of 2019 was Kevin O'Leary and appeared on the December 13 episode of the Waveform Podcast.[7]
So far ten people have been guests in 2020 on the Waveform Podcast including: youtubers Austin Evans, Sara Dietschy and Michael Fisher from the channel MrMobile, a Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman. Notably four technology company executives also appeared as guests: Craig Federighi,[8] Carl Pei,[9] Chris Cox, Panos Panay, and Wallace Santos & Ron Reed from Maingear.
An uncut interview with Mark Zuckerberg was uploaded after an edited version was uploaded to the MKBHD youtube channel for the "Talking Tech" video series.

Waveform has a rating of 4.7/5 on Apple Podcasts with 4.4k ratings.[1] As well as 4.7/5 on the website Chartable with 9,313 ratings.[11]
The host Marques Brownlee was nominated and a finalist for the Best Podcaster section from the 12th annual short awards from work on the Waveform Podcast.[7]
