What Do I Put Here? is the fourth studio album by Canadian-American metalcore project CasioRobinson. It was released on November 10, 2023, through the band's own label, Asscrack Records. The album was produced by Casio Robinson.

Background & Promotion[edit]

Straight after the release of their previous album In Light Of Recent Events, Robinson already announced that new music was underway, and the massive hit single Faceless (ft. Patrick Ryan) was released on April 7, 2023. The feature brought in some serious numbers for the band, which later went on to release a cover of To The Key Of Evergreen by The Devil Wears Prada (not affiliated with the upcoming album). The band later announced in July that a new single named Can You Hear Me? was set for release on July 14, as well as confirming Faceless would be the lead single for a confirmed upcoming album.

In August, frontman Casio Robinson stated in a short Instagram video that a new single named Permanence would be released on August 25. This single was more popular than the previous one. In September, the fourth single Cycles was released on the 22nd, as well as a drum and guitar playthrough for it. Alongside the release of Cycles, the band finally announced the album will be called What Do I Put Here? and that it would be out on November 10, 2023.

Critical Reception[edit]

The album was an instantaneous hit amongst the metalcore and progressive metal/djent communities alike, with a perfect score of 10/10. Critics noted how the production significantly improved and how much better the vocals sound in terms of projection and accuracy. One noted that Robinson "came into his own" on this record, and that the band "found music they are good at making". Other critics praised the addition of female vocal accents from co-vocalist Violet Sage, evident on songs like Bones and Nine. Overall, reviewers and critics alike praised the album for diving deep into the world of polyrhythms and odd time signatures, and "executing them perfectly".
