Wildscapes is a free-to-play puzzle video game released by Playrix in August 2019.[1] The game is available on iOS, Android, and the Amazon Appstore. Wildscapes combines traditional match-3 mechanics with city-building simulation. It’s the first game in the Scapes series that doesn’t feature Austin the Butler as the main character.[2]

Gameplay[edit]

Wildscapes is a match-three puzzle game, where the core gameplay is based on swapping two adjacent elements to make matches of three or more in a row, column, or other shape. Each level has a different goal (e.g., to collect a certain number of flowers or clear a field of cotton candy) which must be completed within a given number of moves. The player can obtain helpful power-ups and activate them by double-tapping or swiping with another element.

Players receive coins as a reward for beating match-3 levels. Coins can be used to purchase animals, decorations, and plants, all of which, in turn, level up players’ zoos.

The zoo is divided into several areas, each with its own unique flora and fauna.[3] These areas include various regions of Asia and the African savanna, with animals like tigers, pandas, lions, peacocks, and many others.

Players can also complete tasks given by non-player characters (NPCs). The reward for completing such tasks is diamonds, which can then be used to buy additional moves on levels.

Other features include adding friends via Facebook and exchanging lives with them, weekly events with additional rewards for successful completion, and in-app purchases of in-game currency and booster packs.

The main character is a zookeeper named Zack. Some characters from Township, including Susie, Lennon, Brittany, Eugene, Christopher and Sophie also appear.
