William L. "Bill" Effinger Jr.
William L. "Bill" Effinger, Jr (May 29, 1917 - May 23, 1999) was an inventor and entrepreneur who founded Berkeley Models. He was elected to the Academy of Model Aeronautics Hall of Fame in 1986. He graduated with a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute in 1938. He went on to earn a degree in aeronautical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[1][2][3]
