Wolfcraft GmbH is a German manufacturer and supplier of tools and power tool accessories for professional and consumer use.[1] It is best known for producing one-handed clamps and laminate cutters.[2] Additionally, it produces door frame jigs, saw guides, punching tools, saw blades, hand screwdrivers, countersinks, drill bits, router bits, drill chucks, rasps and other craftsman tools.[3]

Wolfcraft company was founded in 1949 in Remscheid, by Robert Wolff, a toolmaker and drafter. The first tool making machine was built for drill bits, saws and file tool production.[4][5] Wolfcraft name was chosen from the word handicraft and added surname, as Robert Wolff wanted a name that was not to German, of the tension that shortly existed after World War II.[6] In 1961, the first products started to supply to hardware shops under the Wolfcraft brand name.[7] The company moved to the Weibern site in 1965, as a government-guaranteed industrial loan scheme in Rhineland-Palatinate state.[5]

In 1973, Robert Wolff introduced profit sharing scheme that company profit should be shared with every employee, they proudly can call this company ours, which makes employees more involved and company profits are transparent to the employees.[7][8] The new logistic warehouse was built in 1976, in the Kempenich site industrial park.[9] In 1979, Wolfcraft entered the North American market, bringing a number of unique products from Europe.[10] In 1982, the second generation of the Wolff family sons Reinhard and Thomas Wolff started management of the Wolfcraft company.[11][4][5][12] In 1986, Robert Wolf receive Rudolf-Diesel-Medaille award for achievements, inventions and entrepreneurship in economy.[13] Robert Wolf received the status of an honoured citizen from the mayor of the Kempenish town for social responsibility as for him priority was to invest in the health of employees and share the profit with them.[14] In 1990, the company scheduled second production facilities to build in Malé Dvorniky site, Slovakia.

In 1995, the company invested in intralogistics and in the Kempenich site was built new administration building/headquarters.[9][15] In the same year, the company managed to open a kindergarten in the Ahrweiler town, for the employees to make it easier to combine work and family.[16][17][18][7]

In 2017, Wolfcraft won the German Brand Award, of "Industry Excellence in Branding" in the category "Gardening & Tools".[19][20] In 2019, Wolfcraft wins the "pro-K Award", in the category "Home Equipment & Technology" for the product Undercover Jig Set.[21][22] In 2020, Wolfcraft wins two awards at the British trade magazine of "DIY Week Awards" in the category "DIY Product of the Year" for the product LC 600 Laminate Cutter and in the category "Hand Tool & Accessory of the Year" for the product 3D Mitre Angle.[23][24] In 2021, Wolfcraft wins the German Brand Award of "Excellent Brands" in the category "Tools & Gardening".[25][26]

In 2020, the Wolfcract company employed over 700 employees, offering 2,500 items in the catalog and achieved a total turnover of 133 million euros.[7][27]
