Women Economic Forum

Women Economic Forum (WEF)[1] is a women's conference. Women share their ethics, views, thoughts, societal issues, and culture. The vision of WEF is to make the invisible economic efforts of women more visible and the feminine spirit of harmony.

History[edit]

Founded by Dr. Harbeen Arora, the first annual edition of WEF was held in 2015 in Goa,[2] India. 300 women leaders from 25 countries.

Organization[edit]

Women Economic Forum is an associate of ALL Ladies League (ALL), [3]the international network of women from across the world and global women's chamber connecting women of inspiration from ALL countries and cultures. Creating on ramps for ALL women to access opportunities, learning, inspiration, and massive global connections and business networking.

Annual WEF[edit]

Annual WEF India 2015[edit]

The first annual event was held in Goa at the Goa[4] Marriott from May 7th to May 11th 2015. The program of WEF 2015 was spread over a diverse range of topics with exceptionally good Speakers[5]. The over 400 Delegates from over 25 countries went through much experiential learning and change via the debates and discussion in a unique environment of positivity, enthusiasm, friendship and kinship.

Annual WEF India 2016[edit]

The next annual event was held in New Delhi[6] this time. The theme for WEF 16 was “Women : Uniting the World” through 28 tracks like business, technology, entrepreneurship, health, travel, spirituality, belief, peace, diplomacy, conflict resolution, personal leadership, innovation, research etc. it was discussed for 6 days and 5 nights. The leading session was on entrepreneurship,  start-ups, innovation, and personal leadership in many spheres constituting more than 30% of the sessions.

Women Economic Forum 2016 was held in New Delhi[7] from May 16th-21st 2016 at the Pullman Hotel, Aerocity. Cabinet ministers[8] and chief ministers were expected to address the gathering apart from some important dignitaries from other nations.

Annual WEF India 2017[edit]

From 8th to 13th May in New Delhi again,[9] this annual event was a confluence of leaders[10] and achievers from a 100+ countries was empower one another by sharing and speaking[11] across 520 sessions and workshops under the overall bold theme of “Women: Creating, Innovating, Understanding and Driving the Future”. In India, a special outreach had been made toward young people in schools, universities, and start-ups as also NGOs especially in the North East to foster a sense of inclusion and open up channels of communication and global networking for ALL.
