Woojer is a privately-held US-Israeli consumer electronics company that was founded by Kfir Bar Levav, Noam Bar Levav, and Mor Efrati.[1] It is the developer of patented haptic technology and products that deliver high fidelity tactile sensation which reproduce the rich emotion of sound.

The company produces haptic technology and related products that are used primarily in the entertainment and video gaming industries.[2][3][4]

Woojer products such as the Woojer Edge Strap and Vest feature a patented technology referred to as oscillating frame actuators which are able to read low-frequency and translate them into accurate tactile sensations.[5]

Among other investors, the company received funding from Dr. Eli Harari who is the founder and former CEO of SanDisk and Peter Chou, the founder and former CEO of HTC.[6][7]

Woojer was founded in 2010 by American and Israeli entrepreneurs. After a campaign on Kickstarter in 2013, the company launched their products the next year.[8][9]

In 2016, the company launched a vest titled Vest that is placed around a user's torso and lets them feel virtual worlds in real time used for gaming and other entertainment purposes.[10]

The company's technology was used in a digital dance peace titled 'Scored in Silence which is about the deaf survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.[11]

Woojer partnered with mind spa and meditation app Synctuition by using the Woojer's haptic vest technology with Synctuition’s 3D audio dreamscapes which allows users to use their minds and body for meditation purposes.[12]

In collaboration with Claire Wineland, [[FCB (advertising agency|FCB] and Area 23'[13], the company developed a vest, Sick Beats with their haptic technology which helps in the treatment of Cystic Fibrosis.[14][15][16] The collaborative effort won the Grand Prix awards in the Audio and Pharma categories at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.[17]

The company partnered up with Icon Incar, a mobility design experience company by using Woojer's haptic technology where actuators in the seat, steering wheel and other touch point of a car’s interior are able to deliver a physical, tactile sensation to the driver as well as the passengers.[18]
