The Redmi Go is a smartphone developed by Xiaomi under their Redmi subbrand.[1][2][3][4]It is Xiaomi's first Android Go phone.[5][6][7][8]
Availability[edit]
Xiaomi will sell the device in Europe for 80 euros, but they do not plan on selling it in the US.[5] The Redmi Go is also available in the Phillipines through Lazada for PHP3990.[9]
Software[edit]
The Redmi Go runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and does not appear to use MIUI; it uses Android Go instead.[6]
Hardware[edit]
The Redmi Go has several similarities with the Redmi 4A[10] and 5A[11]. All three phones have the same display and processor, however the Redmi Go has less RAM, less storage and a lower resolution camera.[6] The Redmi Go also shares its dimensions and battery size with the 5A.
The Redmi Go appears to have a polycarbonate unibody construction with black and blue color options. It lacks USB-C and instead relies on an older MicroUSB port.[6] It does not have a fingerprint sensor and likely forgoes facial recognition, as Xiaomi does not mention it on their website.[1]
