Xtremepush is a digital engagement platform for multichannel marketing. It allows brands to enhance their customer engagement and intelligently remarket across email, web browser, mobile application, SMS and social messengers.

History[edit]

The company was founded in 2014 by CEO Tommy Kearns and CTO Kevin Collins.[1]

Tommy Kearns was a professional rugby player with Irish club, Connacht Rugby before moving into mobile marketing following his retirement in 2002. He has successfully launched companies in Ireland, Jamaica, Chile and Mexico.[2]

Kevin Collins holds a PhD in Computer Science from DCU and has been the recipient of several of the University's commercialisation awards for his work on wireless communications, mobile and location-aware applications.[3]

The company's first clients were in the sports industry, signing Leinster Rugby and IRFU shortly after it began trading.[citation needed]

In 2015, the company was identified by Enterprise Ireland as a "High Potential Start Up".[4]

The company has grown substantially year on year since then, expanding its client base into Europe and the United States.[citation needed]

Xtremepush has worked with brands in the retail banking and online sports betting / gaming industries.[4] The company was a graduate of the inaugural Accenture Fintech Innovation Lab in 2015.[5]

Xtremepush was an early leader in terms of GDPR compliance technology, enabling its clients to clean their existing data and stay fully compliant following the change in EU legislation in May 2018.[6][dead link]

In 2018, Xtremepush acquired Emailcenter, a UK email service provider. Founded in 2001, Emailcenter was an early innovator in customer-relationship management.[7] Emailcenter's technology, particularly Maxemail and Maxautomation, and expertise expanded Xtremepush's multichannel product offering.[8][9] In that same year, Xtremepush won the Judge's Award at the Temenos Innovation Jam.[10][11]

Xtremepush is one of the few global companies to fully own their own technology stack from end to end.[12]
