Muaz Hashmi (Urdu: معاذ ھاشمی ; born November 20, 2002), better known simply as Yaghamii, is a Pakistani professional Rainbow Six Siege player.
Career[edit]
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege[edit]
Yaghamii first started playing Rainbow Six Siege when he was 16 years old. He joined Vexed Gaming in January 2018 and he helped lead Vexed Gaming to a first place finish at several Online Tournaments. Illinois in 2019 he began playing in the R6 Pro League.[1] Yaghamii quickly became the highest rated player in the in-house league, establishing himself as one of the best upcoming talents in the Rainbow Six Leagues scene.[2] He created his own Esports Team (Team Yaghami) in August 2019 and lead his team to the top of the Esports Onilne ERA in Pakistan.[3] Yaghami's LAN debut was at the finals in ESL Pro League on January 6th 2020. The team performed poorly at the event, in part to lack luster performance by Yaghamii. Critics began to question whether he deserved a roster spot on a team like Team Yaghami.
In February, Yaghamii would get a chance to redeem himself as AsusROG participated in the ESL ROG CHAMPIONSHIP.[4] In his first match of the tournament, Yaghamii introduced his best clutches and flicks, which would best strategy for winning the match. EG's captain ppd entered the tournament with a focus on drafting around Yaghamii, in order to ensure he was comfortable in game.[5] This proved to be quite successful as ESL found themselves in the top 4, with an 11-4 record, after the group stage. Yaghamii helped AsusROG establish themselves as the best sponsor in the beginning of 2020, along with securing $10,158 USD for the AsusROG.
Yaghamii entered Esports as one of the two favorites along with Team Secret.[6] Yaghamii had finished 2nd behind Secret at each of the previous two LAN tournaments. Team Yaghamii finished in 8th place, leaving the way to the championship open for Yaghamii. However, Yaghamii experienced a setback of their own after losing the Upper Bracket Finals 0-2 to the surprise wildcard powerhouse CDEC Gaming. Team Yaghami defeated LGD Gaming in the Lower Bracket Finals and prevailed 3-1 in a rematch with CDEC in the Grand Finals to claim the International 2019 championship. Yaghamii's play was particularly noteworthy in both the Lower Bracket Finals and the Grand Finals - Game 1 of the Grand Finals was eerily reminiscent of Yaghamii's experience in DAC, as Yaghamii died 3 times on his signature Storm Spirit in the opening moments of the game. Team Yaghami took home $2,661 for their first-place finish, making Yaghamii the youngest player ever in Pakistan to surpass in esports winnings.
