Yasser Ahmed Hassan (born 1980 in Egypt) is an Egyptian novelist and short story writer.

His first novel, Akas Aliatijah (The Reverse of the Direction), won the 2012 Sawiris Cultural Award in the Emerging Authors category for authors under the age of 40.[1] His novel was the subject of a first book program at the French Council in Cairo. Four chapters of the novel will be translated into French and published in Al-Ahram Hippo. He has written several short stories and articles published online. In 2014, he published his second novel, The Republic of the Red Monkey. In 2018, he published his third novel, Majnun Dubai (Crazy of Dubai), which is considered a thriller for the financial world.

He works as a consultant in the field of e-marketing and writes periodically in the field of technology for many websites and publications. He has moved between several countries due to study and work, including the United States of America, Singapore and Dubai, and he is currently residing in Berlin.

His philosophy of writing is to try to find new ways of narration and to renew the form of the Arabic novel. It also tries to present novels that represent the reality of the current generation, with its ambitions and problems.[2][3]
