Yeshwant Moreshwar Deosthalee was an Indian business executive who served as the chairman of Larsen & Toubro.
Early life
He was born and raised in a middle-class family in Girgaum, Mumbai.[1]
He was married to his wife Leena and had two daughters, Deepa and Mina.[2]
In 2020, he died at the age of 74.[1]
Education
He completed his graduation in commerce from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai.[1]
Later, he became a certified chartered accountant and also attained a degree in law.[1]
Career
He joined Larsen & Toubro in 1974 and rose through the ranks to become the Chief Financial Officer of the company.[1]
He is best known for starting and establishing the finance arm of Larsen & Toubro as a separate and successful company in its own right.[1]
Personal life
He was a connoisseur of Hindustani classical music and he also co-produced a Marathi film Rajwade and Sons.[2]
